Motorsport Arena Oschersleben announced that 18,000 fans attended the “magnificent finale” of NASCAR GP Germany’s “three-year era” at the circuit.
A new attendance record of 18,000 was set for the 2025 NASCAR GP Germany in Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, which was described as a “magnificent finale” by the German track’s social media accounts.
The announcement, combined with the news of EuroNASCAR’s September calendar slot being filled by Autodromo Vallelunga for 2026, suggests the possibility that the 2025 NASCAR GP Germany might be the last EuroNASCAR event at Oschersleben for the foreseeable future.
“A magnificent finale marked the end of a three-year era of the NASCAR Euro Series at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben,” the circuit announced.
“Around 18,000 visitors enjoyed a weekend full of adrenaline. Fast-paced races, a varied supporting program, and unmistakable US flair made the event an unforgettable experience.”
NASCAR Euro Series did not provide a comment on the event’s future, but their most recent press release highlights the record attendance that was set in the 2025 edition.
“The NASCAR GP Germany 2025 at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben proved to be an overwhelming success, drawing a record crowd of 18,000 fans over the weekend,” EuroNASCAR announced.
“The event revolving around the first leg of the NASCAR Euro Series playoffs, blended the intensity of European NASCAR racing with the vibrant spirit of Americana, creating an unforgettable motorsport festival and delivering some of the most exciting racing in Europe.”
More than 50 drivers lined up for action across all three classes at Oschersleben in 2025. This included Canadian star Raphael Lessard, who made his debut as part of the drivers exchange program between NASCAR’s Euro and Canada Series.
The event was headlined by intense on-track action and spectacular dramas, ranging from the big crash at the start of EuroNASCAR PRO’s Saturday race to the amazing six-way battle for the victory in the Sunday EuroNASCAR OPEN race.
All four main races in Oschersleben were won by different drivers. Liam Hezemans and Vittorio Ghirelli traded wins in EuroNASCAR PRO, while Bruno Mulders and Thomas Krasonis shared the spoils in EuroNASCAR OPEN.
NASCAR GP Germany also featured support races from the Norddeutsche ADAC Börde Tourenwagen Cup (NATC) and the International Sidecar Trophy championships.
Erik Bänecke swept the NATC weekend in his first generation BMW M4 GT4, while top sidecar stars Wiggert Kranenburg and Mark Wilkes – both with considerable experience in events such as the Isle of Man TT – joined forces to win two out of three races in the International Sidecar Trophy.
