Recent driver changes as we approached the Free Practice sessions for American SpeedFest 9 revealed that Liam Hezemans will step up to EuroNASCAR PRO and do the double duty while Buggyra ZM – MFT Racing withdraws Yasmeen Koloc’s entry from both classes.
The 2022 edition of American SpeedFest will begin today with the Free Practice sessions for both EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2, but driver changes have continued to occur as Hendriks Motorsport and Buggyra ZM – MFT Racing announces changes to their driver roster just before the start of Friday’s on-track activities.
On Hendriks’ side, it was announced that Liam Hezemans will step up to EuroNASCAR PRO and replace Tobias Dauenhauer in the team’s No. 50 Ford following the announcement that Dauenhauer will not take part at the SpeedFest after he was tested positive for COVID-19.
“Liam Hezemans will be pulling double duties at Brands Hatch by jumping in for Tobias Dauenhauer, who’s recovering from a COVID-19 infection,” announced EuroNASCAR earlier today.
“In his only second event, the Dutchman is set to wrestle the #50 Hendriks Motorsport Ford Mustang around the 1.944 kilometer Indy Circuit in both championships.”

As for Buggyra, a recent press release released by the team’s partner Motors Formula Team (MFT) revealed that Yasmeen Koloc will not participate at the SpeedFest as well as the EuroNASCAR series for the time being.
According to the press release, the decision was taken due to the combination of the injury Yasmeen got in the 24H Series race at Spa-Francorchamps in April and the need for Yasmeen to have more preparation time for her plan to participate in the 2023 edition of the Dakar Rally.
“After my accident at the 12H of Spa in April, I have realized that I would like to have more time to concentrate on rally raids and my preparation for the 2023 Dakar. In addition, I will continue testing on circuits to gain more experience,” said Yasmeen in the press release.
Yasmeen’s withdrawal meant that barring further last-minute changes, her twin sister Aliyyah is expected to become the sole driver competing for Buggyra ZM – MFT Racing this weekend.
