On July 16, Hendriks Motorsport announced in their Facebook page that they are going to auction the team’s No. 50 Ford Mustang left-side door panel from Franciacorta to support the upcoming Circuit Day charity event held by Dutch charity organization Against Cancer.
This is in line with the announcement that Hendriks made earlier in April 30 that states that they will be participating in the 2019 edition of the Circuit Day charity event, which was scheduled to be held on August 7 at TT Circuit Assen.
The door panel that Hendriks put on auction will feature the signatures of Loris Hezemans, the driver of the team’s No. 50 Ford Mustang in the Elite 1 class, and former Formula One champion and Indy 500 winner Jacques Villeneuve, who currently competes in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for Go Fas Racing and has fought in two closely-contested battles with Hezemans this season at Franciacorta and Venray.
Hendriks Motorsport is also offering the person who won the auction bid with 2 VIP tickets for the season finale race week at Circuit Zolder as a give-away reward.
“Hendriks Motorsport BV is auctioning this original NASCAR door from the fierce battle of Loris Hezemans and Jacques Villeneuve earlier this year at the Autodromo di Franciacorta,” said the team in a post on their official Facebook page.
“The door is signed by both Loris Hezemans and Jacques Villeneuve and carries a certificate of authenticity. The door should be picked up (by the bid winners). In addition, we will also give away 2 VIP tickets to the Nascar Whelen Euro Series final at Circuit Zolder.
The proceeds go to the Against Cancer Foundation. Against Cancer gives a smile to children who are busy with their race against cancer. They do this by regularly organizing events in which the children and their families experience an unforgettable day.”
The bid currently stands at €510. Those who wanted to bid on Hendriks’ charity auction can contact Hendriks Motorsport via an email at email@example.com or via a message to Hendriks Motorsport’s official WhatsApp and/or official Facebook account. Bids are going to be open until 6 August 2019.
