Unlike most NASCAR-sanctioned series’, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series implements a podium system for the first three finishing drivers, similar to what is seen in most other forms of motorsport. A total of 41 drivers and 34 teams have visited the podium in the EuroNASCAR PRO class since the first season of the series under NASCAR sanction in 2012.
Listed below are the drivers and teams that have scored a fastest lap in the EuroNASCAR PRO class of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The all-time list excludes races that are not considered as part of the official championship calendar, such as the 2012 exhibition race at Tours and the two Trofeo Angelo Caffi tournaments.
NOTE : The list shown below are correct as of the end of the 2022 Fracasso NASCAR GP Croatia at Automotodrom Grobnik. Drivers shown in “bold” are drivers that have competed in at least 1 EuroNASCAR PRO race over the course of the 2022 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season.
DRIVERS
Ander Vilariño, Romain Thievin, and Dimitri Enjalbert became the first drivers to finish on the podium in an EuroNASCAR PRO race when they finished first, second and third respectively in the inaugural NASCAR Whelen Euro Series race at Circuit Paul Armagnac in 2012.
The most recent driver to visit the podium for the first time is Patrick Lemarié, who scored his first podium finish on the first race of the 2022 Fracasso NASCAR GP Croatia at Automotodrom Grobnik.
Carole Perrin, who finished third in the first race of the 2012 Spa 200 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, is the first – and so far only – female driver to have scored a podium finish in EuroNASCAR PRO.
Israel’s Alon Day currently holds the record for the most podium finishes at 51, six podiums more from the previous record holder Frédéric Gabillon. Ander Vilariño is third on the all-time list with 35 podiums to his name.
