Academy Motorsport locks in their participation in the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season with the No. 5 car driven by co-owner Federico Monti in EuroNASCAR OPEN.

The identity of one of the teams that will receive the last two remaining Premium Entry for the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season has been revealed.

Academy Motorsport announced on 12 March that they have received the 25th Premium Entry spot, confirming plans to race the No. 5 car with team co-owner Federico Monti racing in EuroNASCAR OPEN.

Academy is therefore set for its tenth anniversary season in EuroNASCAR, a lineage that dates back to Alex Caffi Motorsport’s first season in 2026.

“2026 will be a very special year for us, as Alex Caffi Motorsport celebrates its tenth anniversary in motorsport with prestigious partnerships and rewarding successes,” said Academy’s co-owner Alex Caffi.

“Our partnership with Academy Motorsport, which has lasted for five years, has brought us valuable results and wonderful emotions. The championship has shown steady growth over the years, and we are proud to be part of it again this year.”

“We are excited to start this new season very soon and look forward to a new season aimed at achieving the goals we have set ourselves.”

Monti is set for his first full-season campaign in one of EuroNASCAR’s two main divisions – PRO and OPEN – since 2022.

The 54-year old made an unexpected return to EuroNASCAR PRO as a substitute driver for Marc Goossens in 2025. Goossens competed in the first two rounds for Academy before taking a step back to focus on his duties as RedAnt Racing’s team manager.

Monti spent the years between 2022 and 2025 competing in the regularity-based Rookie Challenge, winning the outright championship title in 2024.

With his seat and the team’s future now secured, Monti is ready to make the 2026 season a year to remember for the Italian-Monegasque outfit.

“Academy Motorsport is firing up its engines once again and relaunching its challenge, full of enthusiasm with ambition to confirm its leading position,” said Monti to nascar.eu.

“Drawing on the experience we have built up over the past seasons, we are returning to the starting line confident that 2026 will see us continuing to improve both as a team and as individual members, consistently focused on professionalism and the development of each individual’s skills.”

“Personally, I will once again be behind the wheel. I am confident that with the ongoing support from Academy and Alex Caffi Motorsport, we will achieve significant results.”
