Thomas Toffel announced his stay with Race Art Technology for 2026, confirming his commitment to race in the EuroNASCAR V8GP and OPEN divisions.

Swiss driver Thomas Toffel continues his commitment to compete in NASCAR Euro Series’ two main divisions. Toffel announced on 24 March that he will be staying in Race Art Technology for 2026, confirming his fourth full-season campaign in the sport.

“As the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season approaches, Toffel has officially confirmed he will be back behind the wheel of the #34 Race Art Technology machine, taking on the grueling challenge of competing in both the PRO and OPEN divisions,” EuroNASCAR reports.

“After scoring an OPEN Strom Watches Pole Award in Brands Hatch and being competitive at the front of both championships in 2025, the Swiss wants to make the final step to Victory Lane and title contention.”

Toffel had a turbulent year in 2025, experiencing both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in his third EuroNASCAR season.

Toffel started the big crash that happened in the first EuroNASCAR OPEN race at Vallelunga and drew the ire of Paul Jouffreau after the two drivers collided in the first EuroNASCAR PRO race at Zolder.

Toffel also had his ties with M Racing severed mid-season, prompting his return to Race Art Technology for the second half of 2025.

Despite this, Toffel still scored three podium finishes across both divisions. This included his career best EuroNASCAR PRO result, where he finished second behind Vittorio Ghirelli in Race 2 of the Zolder finale.

Owing to this and changes in the regulations for 2026, Toffel is leaving his goals open heading to the new season.

“I don’t want to say anything about my goals at the moment,” said Toffel to nascar.eu. “We never know the level of the new drivers, and for sure, the changes to the technical rules will bring challenges for the experienced teams and drivers.”

“The only thing I promise is that I am more ready than ever to begin the 2026 championship.”
