EuroNASCAR will rebrand its PRO division into V8GP, a name chosen to “celebrate the essence of what makes the NASCAR Euro Series unique.”

NASCAR Euro Series is set for another rebrand for one of their divisions. EuroNASCAR’s top division PRO – or EuroNASCAR PRO – will have its name changed to V8GP starting from the upcoming season.

“Team FJ, founder and organizer of the NASCAR Euro Series, is proud to announce the launch of V8GP, the new name and identity for the NASCAR Euro Series’ top-tier PRO championship,” announced EuroNASCAR on 21 March 2026.

“For over a decade, the PRO division has been the ultimate stage for professional drivers in European touring car racing. With the introduction of V8GP, that status is now reflected in a name that is bold, powerful and instantly recognizable.”

“V8GP is a celebration of traditions mixing the best of both NASCAR and European Racing. It is the sound of eight cylinders at full throttle. It is the intensity of a NASCAR Grand Prix start. It is the pursuit of excellence at every level.”

“Welcome to the new pinnacle of European touring car racing. Welcome to NASCAR Euro Series V8GP.”

This rebrand made it the second year in a row where a division had its name being rebranded by the series. Last year, EuroNASCAR 2 and EuroNASCAR Club Challenge had its name changed to EuroNASCAR OPEN and EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge.

According to the official press release, NASCAR Euro Series states that the name change is “more than a rebrand”.

EuroNASCAR states that V8GP “represents a strategic evolution designed to strengthen the championship’s international positioning, clarify its elite status and celebrate the essence of what makes the NASCAR Euro Series unique.”

EuroNASCAR also gave an explanation on why the name V8GP was chosen. According to EuroNASCAR:

  • V8 represents “the unmistakable roar and mechanical purity of naturally aspirated American engines. It symbolizes raw performance, tradition and authenticity.”
  • GP represents “Grand Prix intensity. A reference to Europe’s greatest racing venues and the championship’s highest-level competitive standards.”

EuroNASCAR implements a black and blue color scheme for its V8GP branding, stating that “the strong black ‘V8’ expresses power and solidity, while the dynamic blue ‘GP’ conveys speed, innovation and forward momentum.”

The first race of the V8GP era is going to be held at Circuit Ricardo Tormo on 18-19 April 2026. Tickets to witness this historic occasion can now be purchased from Circuit Ricardo Tormo’s official website.
