Andreas Kuchelbacher extends his contract with SpeedHouse to confirm his participation in the 2026 EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge division.
Andreas Kuchelbacher will stay with SpeedHouse for a fourth season. SpeedHouse confirmed that Kuchelbacher will remain part of the French team through an announcement that was published on 13 February 2026.
Kuchelbacher is set to enter his eight season in EuroNASCAR’s Rookie Challenge division, having previously won the title in its inaugural season in 2017.
Kuchelbacher also becomes the second driver to be officially confirmed for SpeedHouse. He will join Maxim van Laere, who will make his EuroNASCAR OPEN debut with Lucas Lasserre’s team.
“I’m really happy to confirm Andreas Kuchelbacher onboard at Speedhouse for the 2026 season in the EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge division!” said Lasserre in the official announcement.
“Andreas is a part of the Speedhouse Family and he’s my friend. It will be the fourth season with us and it’s an honor to have him again with us.”
“Andreas is determined and knows well of not only our car, but also the Rookie Challenge rules. The championship is very competitive, but Andreas will be ready to fight for the title.”
Kuchelbacher has been present in Rookie Challenge since 2017, albeit his current stint dates back to 2022 when he rejoined the series after a two-year sabbatical.
Having raced with SpeedHouse back in 2019, Kuchelbacher was reunited with the team starting from the 2024 season.
The Austrian continues to be a strong contender in the division, although he was the third best SpeedHouse driver in 2025, having been outfoxed by his rookie teammates José Antonio Peñalta and Nuno Caetano.
This bolstered Kuchelbacher’s desire to return in 2026, setting up a goal to return back to the top-3 positions for the upcoming season.
“I’m very happy to be entering my fourth season with Speedhouse and my eighth season overall in the NASCAR Euro Series,” said Kuchelbacher in the official announcement.
“After winning the championship in 2017 and finishing third overall three times, twice with Speedhouse, my goal for the 2026 season is to finish in the top three again.”
“Last season, I narrowly missed this, finishing fourth overall in the championship with two podium finishes: second in Vallelunga and third in Most.”
“Speedhouse has always done an outstanding job with a unique team spirit, which is why I chose to stay with them. An additional reason is my friendship with team principal Lucas Lasserre.”
