José Antonio Peñalta continues to sweep the 2025 EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge season with the Spaniard’s fourth win of the year in Oschersleben.

José Antonio Peñalta maintains his perfect Rookie Challenge win streak in the 2025 NASCAR GP Germany. The Spaniard took his fourth win in as many rounds after he beat Thomas Pourrain and Ofek Eliyahu for the top spot at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

Peñalta immediately set the pace from the first session, where he beat his main championship rival Maxim van Laere and Davide Frulio to grab first position.

The second session was led by Pourrain, who made a big impression on his maiden weekend. Peñalta was only fourth, but he still gained enough points to win as his rivals failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

“I felt very confident about this competition,” said Penalta in Victory Lane. “I had a good connection with the track, which will be beneficial for my OPEN debut later.”

“With only one round remaining in the Rookie Challenge, I sense the title is within reach. I haven’t secured it yet, but I’m just a step away from victory. We’ll see how the next round unfolds.”

Pourrain’s second session victory propelled him to second overall. It represents a great maiden appearance for the Canadian, who is gaining plenty of stock car experience in Raceway Venray’s V8 Oval Series.

Third went to Ofek Eliyahu, also making his maiden appearance this week. Eliyahu finished fourth and second in the timed sessions, allowing him to beat Maxim by one point as Maxim can only finish fifth in the second session.

Nuno Caetano completed the top-5 ahead of Frulio and inaugural champion Andreas Kuchelbacher. Daniil Shapka, who made his return in the No. 76 Team Bleekemolen Toyota, was eighth ahead of teammate Bruno Mulders.

Yann Cristovao, Robin Bleekemolen, Jonathan Meyer and Nicole Davidson closed out the finishing results. Vanessa “Happinessa” Neumann withdrew from the round to focus on her EuroNASCAR OPEN outings.

Peñalta’s win brought his lead to Maxim up to 24 points, with the Spaniard now having 301 points entering the season finale at Zolder.

Caetano, Kuchelbacher and Frulio trailed behind by 37.5, 44 and 54.5 points respectively. They all will have an outside chance for the title as double points are only applied for the Zolder finale in Rookie Challenge.
