Thomas Krasonis moved into the lead of the EuroNASCAR OPEN standings after he swept the fourth round in Czechia’s Autodrom Most.

After a fortuitous win courtesy of Jordan O’Brien’s post-race penalty on Saturday, Thomas Krasonis wants to prove that his No. 13 Costamare Inc. Camaro has the potential to win on merit in Sunday’s EuroNASCAR OPEN race at Autodrom Most.

The Greek proceeded to do just that, passing both O’Brien and Martin Doubek on a Safety Car restart in lap 5 to seal his fourth win of the 2025 EuroNASCAR OPEN season.

Krasonis started from fourth, but he had an unexpected stroke of luck while on the grid. Bruno Mulders, who was due to start from second, had to be wheeled back to the pits after his Team Bleekemolen Toyota had starter motor issues.

This gave the Greek driver a clean air on the run to the first corner, but he failed to capitalize the first time around.

A Safety Car period from Valerio Marzi’s crash with Patrick Schober gave Krasonis a second chance that he wouldn’t relinquish. Krasonis jumped his way to first on the restart and kept the lead all the way to the checkered flag.

“It was not easy as we are a little bit unlucky with the DNF’s we have this season,” said Krasonis in Victory Lane. “As Martin said in England where I was probably angry with his blocking, it probably will be the same for him here as I blocked a lot!”

“It’s his home track, he wanted the win but we’re fighting for the championship. We had a clean and tough battle, I gotta say that.”

Krasonis is also excited at the prospect of a strong title fight between all EuroNASCAR OPEN competitors. While he now leads the overall standings, he believes that everyone will give their best for the double points Playoffs.

“For sure we will have a good show until one of us is crowned champion,” adds Krasonis. “We are going to the Playoffs with a lot of excitement. Everybody’s very hungry for the win and I’m happy to have these guys as my competitors.”

Doubek came home in second, missing out on another chance to win in front of his home crowd. Claudio Remigio Cappelli completed the podium, securing the 50-year old’s first top-3 result since his 2024 Zolder sweep.

O’Brien lost fourth to Thomas Dombrowski after he made an unforced spin in the chicane. The American still held on to fifth to cap off an exceptionally strong weekend for both him and Club Competition.

Mulders eventually recovered to sixth, beating his teammate Melvin de Groot in the process. Master Trophy contenders Sandro Tavartkiladze, Dominique Schaak and Florian Richard completed the top-10 positions.

The Sunday race was again shortened by one lap. Coincidentally, Vanessa “Happinessa” Neumann was again involved in the incident that led to the race distance being reduced.

Vanessa had a spin on lap 11 that resulted in her No. 77 OnlyFans Camaro stopping in the middle of the road. As she tried to refire her machine, excess fuel leaked into the exhaust pipes and the sparks ignited the right side of the car.

The red flag was soon called due to the fire hazard. Once it’s extinguished, Vanessa was able to drive away with only minor bodywork damage.

While there was time to continue on with the last three laps, race control decided to end the race with two parade laps behind the Safety Car. Vanessa was eventually demoted to last of the finishers for bringing out the red flag.

“On entry into Turn 1 I missed a gear, spun, and the engine stalled,” said Vanessa on social media. “While trying to restart I gave it throttle to help the ignition, which pumped extra fuel into the system.”

“That unburned fuel ended up in the exhaust, and with all the heat it ignited, this time with massive flames.”

“Funny thing is I didn’t notice any of it! I was just focused on getting the car started again to keep racing, because I had such a strong position in the race.”

“Sorry to all the other drivers and teams that the race was interrupted, or even stopped, because of me. Definitely not what I wanted to happen.”
