NASCAR Euro Series gave an in-depth outline for Vittorio Ghirelli’s NASCAR Canada Series wildcard appearance at GP3R on 8-10 August.
NASCAR Euro Series has officially announced the program schedule that Vittorio Ghirelli is set to participate in the 2025 Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R).
Ghirelli, the reigning EuroNASCAR champion, received an invitation to GP3R as part of Euro Series’ driver exchange program with NASCAR Canada Series.
The Italian punched his ticket to GP3R by topping the standings after American SpeedFest 12 at Brands Hatch. His GP3R ride will be supported by Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv.
“The NASCAR Euro Series continues to open doors to international NASCAR competition for its top drivers,” announced EuroNASCAR on 10 July 2025.
“Vittorio Ghirelli, current championship leader at the mid-season mark, will compete in the NASCAR Canada Series at the iconic Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R) on August 8–10, 2025.”
“This will mark Ghirelli’s first NASCAR Canada Series appearance, adding to an ever growing list of NASCAR Euro Series drivers gaining experience and recognition in North America thanks to their success in Europe.”
According to the official release, Ghirelli will land in Canada on 4 August – a week before GP3R. Ghirelli will have one test day on 6 August, where he will get to grips with his No. 50 Chevrolet Camaro at Circuit ICAR.
From there, Ghirelli will be heading to Trois-Rivieres to start his NASCAR Canada wildcard activities. Qualifying will be held on 9 August, with the race set to start on 10 August at 13:18 local time.
“It’s amazing to go there! I’m proud to represent the NASCAR Euro Series at such a prestigious event, with the support of incredible partners like Rousseau and Festidrag,” said Ghirelli to nascar.eu.
“I’ve been looking forward to pushing hard and reaching this goal. It will be cool to see another series around the world.”
“I raced on street circuits at Monte Carlo, Saint Petersburg and Long Beach, but going to Canada with NASCAR is a dream come true. Let’s go for it!”
“I’m not going there just to have a walk, I’m going there to be among the front runners. It will be a lot of fun. See you in Trois-Rivieres race fans!”
Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv will also support Raphaël Lessard, who represents NASCAR Canada in this exchange program. Lessard is set to make his wildcard appearance at NASCAR GP Germany, driving the No. 75 Chevrolet Camaro.
