Circuit Ricardo Tormo announced that the Valencian Government will allocate €24 million for repairs to the facilities affected by the 2024 floods.
Circuit Ricardo Tormo’s renovation project receives official support from the Valencian Government. An investment of €24 million has been allocated so that renovations can be completed before MotoGP’s Valencian Community Grand Prix in November.
The news was announced on 2 June 2025 following a visit from Valencian Government’s President Carlos Mazón Guixot. Mazón visited the home of EuroNASCAR’s NASCAR GP Spain to check the current progress of the renovation project.
“The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has highlighted the Valencian government’s investment of around 24 million Euros in the restoration of infrastructure in Cheste and the facilities at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo so that the track can host the Valencian Community Grand Prix from November 14 to 16,” the Spanish venue announced.
“He made this statement during his visit to see the work being carried out on the facilities and surrounding area of the Circuit after the floods.”
“He was accompanied by the Regional Minister for the Environment, Infrastructure, and Territory Vicente Martínez Mus, the general manager of the Circuit Ricardo Tormo Nicolás Collado, and the mayor of the municipality José Morell, among other authorities.”
According to the announcement, €1 million has already been invested in repairs for the main entrance. This main entrance was also provisionally reopened by Mazón during his visit.
€10 million will be allocated for repairs inside the Circuit Ricardo Tormo grounds. This budget is focused towards repairs in the parking area, a necessary investment given that Valencia attracts more than 200,000 fans to its MotoGP event.
Out of the €10 million allocation, €3,5 million will be spent on the Circuit’s main car park. The other €6,5 million will be allocated to the secondary, public car park that is located north of the circuit.
The rest of the budget – totaling €13 million – will be used to repair and refurbish the surrounding infrastructure.
€8 million is allocated for the CV-50 regional road surrounding the Valencian circuit, while €5 million will be used to restore the municipality’s water infrastructure and treatment plant.
Circuit Ricardo Tormo was greatly affected by the massive flood that hit the region last October. The flood completely destroyed Circuit Ricardo Tormo’s main entrance road and the minimoto track, forcing the cancellation of the 2024 Valencian Community Grand Prix.
MotoGP raised €1.6 million to fund Valencia’s renovations through numerous activities held during the 2024 Solidarity GP, the round that replaced the Valencian GP.
As part of their support to its long-time season finale venue, MotoGP placed a “MotoGP Racing for Valencia” banner in the grandstands. This banner was still present when EuroNASCAR hosted their 2025 opener in April.
19,000 fans attended the Valencia NASCAR Fest, according to official figures. Paul Jouffreau and Thomas Krasonis won the EuroNASCAR PRO races, with Krasonis and Martin Doubek winning the battle in EuroNASCAR OPEN.
