ARCA and NASCAR team Rette Jones Racing will expand to EuroNASCAR with a full-time entry driven by Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster.
Renowned ARCA and NASCAR team Rette Jones Racing will expand to the NASCAR Euro Series in 2025. After several teases on social media, the American team announced their EuroNASCAR plans on 2 April 2025.
Rette Jones will field the all-star pairing of Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster. Both drivers raced for Hendriks Motorsport in 2024, finishing fourth and seventh in the EuroNASCAR PRO and OPEN championships respectively.
The signing of Liam and Linster also allowed Rette Jones to secure an alliance deal with Hendriks. This meant that their No. 30 Ford Mustang, decked in a very striking yellow livery, will be maintained by the four-time EuroNASCAR Teams champion.
Rette Jones’ EuroNASCAR program will be overseen by Mark Rette and Greg Zipadelli. Zipadelli, the crew chief and executive who enjoyed plenty of success at Stewart-Haas, joined Rette Jones earlier this year after Stewart-Haas closed at the end of 2024.
“This is a proud day for our Rette Jones Racing team,” said Rette, one of the co-owners of Rette Jones. “Since late last year, we’ve been exploring opportunities to expand our platform internationally.”
“Entering the NASCAR Euro Series with Gil and Liam is a perfect fit for our organization. We’re thrilled to partner with two proven, winning drivers and to be technically aligned with Hendriks Motorsport – one of the most respected teams in the NASCAR Euro Series.”
The partnership between Hendriks and Rette Jones seems to be a match made in heaven. Both teams want to bridge the division between US and European talents and this common goal is what secured this historic deal.
“We are very excited about what this expansion means for Rette Jones Racing,” adds fellow co-owner Terry Jones. “Competing in the NASCAR Euro Series is a big step for us, and it opens the door for even more international opportunities.”
“Liam and Gil are both talented and motivated drivers. We’re looking forward to not only supporting them in Europe, but also building a path for them to race in the United States as part of our long-term vision.”
Liam will enter his fourth EuroNASCAR PRO season in 2025. The driver that received the nickname “Hollywood” by series commentator Adam Weller continued to show plenty of speed in 2024, winning three races across both ovals and road courses.
With the lessons he learned from 2024, Liam believes he’s ready to bring the fight to reigning champions Vittorio Ghirelli and PK Carsport with his new team.
“I am very excited to join Rette Jones Racing for the 2025 season,” said Liam. “The opportunity to represent an American team in the NASCAR Euro Series is a big step for me, and I’m proud to be a part of this new chapter.”
“With the experience and resources this team brings to the table, I’m confident we’ll be able to compete for wins and contend for the championship right from the start.”
As for Linster, this will be his seventh season in EuroNASCAR OPEN. The Luxembourger was beset by a chronic luck problem in 2024, but he’s ready to start a whole new chapter with Rette Jones in 2025.
“This opportunity means a lot,” said Linster. “Having the support of an American team with such a strong reputation is huge for us.”
“Racing in ARCA at Daytona last year was a huge moment in my motorsport career and I’m looking forward to building on the relationships I’ve made in the United States as I continue to grow as a driver. I’m confident that this partnership will help me take another step forward in my career.”
