Thomas Krasonis will be staying with Marko Stipp Motorsport in 2024, announcing that he will be racing in both EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2 for next year.

Marko Stipp Motorsport has announced the team’s first driver for the 2024 season on the penultimate day of Essen Motor Show’s NASCAR exhibition. Greek driver Thomas Krasonis will continue his journey with MSM and is set to be doing the double duty next year with the No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro.

Perhaps inspired by the recent double duty successes of Paul Jouffreau and Vladimiros Tziortzis, Krasonis accepted the offer to race in both classes in order to maximize both his track time and his chances for victory in both the overall championship and the trophies.

“There is a five-year plan that I’m following with the goal of becoming a NASCAR Cup Series driver in the USA,” said Krasonis in the official announcement. “This year will be the most challenging for me as I will be competing in both categories while constantly striving for the best results.”

“My team has given me everything I need to fight for my goals, so I have full confidence in them. We have created a great chemistry with the whole crew and this is something that helps me a lot.”

Krasonis initially planned to race in the United States in 2023, but ultimately decided to stay in EuroNASCAR and race the full season with MSM. The 22-year old driver finished all 12 races and scored three top-10 finishes with a best finish of seventh at Most.

With important experience gained from Krasonis’ first season with the team, Marko Stipp believes that their combination will be able to fight for podium finishes more consistently in 2024.

“We are thrilled to extend our contract with Thomas and to feel his full confidence in us,” said Stipp. “In our first year together we learned a lot and we got close to Thomas and his family. We want to take the next step and fight for podiums in both championships in 2024.”
