Profile:

Thomas Ferrando finds American culture and style of racing to be his home, as proven by his ever-present cowboy hat and the fact that his first racing experience outside of karts was in a Modified car at the legendary Bowman Gray Stadium in 2012. Joining the Euro Series driver development program during his karting days, he first debuted in the Euro Series in 2014 with OverDrive at the age of 16 and instantly scored success as he won 2 races on his way to finish 3rd in the Championship.

Over the next three years, Ferrando would establish himself as one of the greatest Elite 2 drivers in the Euro Series. He broke every record in the Elite 2 class and is still currently the record holder for the most wins, most podiums, most pole positions, and most fastest laps in the Elite 2 class. After three consecutive 3rd places in the Championship, Ferrando would finish his Elite 2 career on the very top after he finally won the Elite 2 title in 2017.

In between his Elite 2 successes, he made his Elite 1 debut in 2016 in a double duty effort as a means of gaining more experience in stock car racing. He too proved to be quick in the Elite 1 class from the get go, as shown by his 2 podium finishes in his Elite 1 debut season. Now fully focusing in the Elite 1 class, the fast, young but vastly experienced Ferrando will begin a new chapter in his Euro Series career as he moved teams to Alex Caffi Motorsport to drive the team’s No. 27 Knauf / Carpanelli Ford Mustang. The No. 27 team would later be part of CAAL Racing starting from the fourth race week of the season at Most.
