Profile:
The first Japanese driver to compete in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, Kenko Miura spend his first two seasons in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series doing double duty in Alex Caffi Motorsport’s No. 2 team. The 2018 season proved to be Miura’s most successful year in the Euro Series so far when he won the Challenger Trophy by 3 points ahead of Dario Caso as well as achieving history when he scored a podium finish in the first Elite 2 race at Zolder to become the first Asian driver to score a podium finish in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series – which at that point is also the highest finishing result achieved by an Asian driver in an official NASCAR-sanctioned race.
This year will be the first season where Miura will not pull the double duty, as he will be focusing to defend his Challenger Trophy title in the Elite 1 class in Alex Caffi Motorsport’s No. 2 La Leonessa Chevrolet Camaro.
