EuroNASCAR PRO – Pole Position Leaders

Within NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, Europe’s premier division of stock car racing, it is important for drivers and teams to score a pole position to maximize their chances of winning a race.
A total of 26 different drivers and 22 different teams have scored a Pole Position in the top EuroNASCAR PRO division since the first season of NASCAR Whelen Euro Series under official NASCAR sanctioning in 2012.
Listed below are the drivers and the teams that have scored a pole position in the EuroNASCAR PRO class of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. The all-time list excludes races that are not considered as part of the official championship calendar, such as the 2012 exhibition race at Tours and the two Trofeo Angelo Caffi tournaments.
NOTE : The list shown below are correct as of the end of the 2024 Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Drivers shown in “bold” are drivers that have competed in at least one (1) EuroNASCAR PRO race of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season.
DRIVERS
Ander Vilariño became the first driver to start first in an EuroNASCAR race when he secured the pole position in the inaugural NASCAR Whelen Euro Series race at Circuit Paul Armagnac in 2012.
The most recent driver to score a pole position for the first time is Vladimiros Tziortzis, who secured his maiden pole position in the 2023 Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Israel’s Alon Day currently holds the record for the most pole positions with 37, while Vilariño currently sits in second place with 24 pole positions in his career. Frédéric Gabillon is third on the all-time poles list with 10 pole positions.
