Jonne Rautjärvi started his career at the young age of 6, when he entered his first karting races in his home country of Finland. Rautjarvi honed his skills on karting for the next ten years before he moved up to car racing with the North European Championship.
A scary accident in a race at the Seinäjoki street circuit in 2018 almost ended his career prematurely, but he managed to make a full recovery before making his return in the following year. Rautjärvi then joined the V8 Thunder Cars series in 2020 and he embarked on a successful career there, finishing third on his debut year before finishing second in his sophomore season.
His success in V8 Thunder Cars attracted the eyes of Iceboys Racing, who signed Rautjärvi in the off-season with the goal of bringing him to the international championship with the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series. Iceboys’ joint collaboration with Team Bleekemolen would provide him with that opportunity as he embarked on his first season in stock car racing with the No. 44 Tapiola Ford Mustang on the top EuroNASCAR PRO class.
