Profile:
Fabrizio Armetta started his racing career at the considerably old age of 23 years old when he competed in the local Formula Ford championship in 1996. After stints in Formula 3 and various touring cars and GT championships, he moved to the Superstars Championship in 2005.
His time in the Superstars Championship proved to be very successful as he was able to finish as the series runner-up on his debut year before claiming a victory in Superstars’ international exhibition race at Kyalami four years later.
Armetta briefly took a hiatus in 2010 to become the team manager for the Motorzone Race Car team before he returned as an owner-driver in 2011. He took another hiatus in 2012 before re-emerging in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series in 2013.
Aligning himself with former Superstars rivals CAAL Racing, Armetta made his full-season debut the following year in the top class and became a consistent contender for top-10 finishes, winning the Challenger Trophy honors in the process.
He left CAAL Racing the following year to form his own racing team: The Club Motorsport. The Club began to enter EuroNASCAR in 2017 and after various part-time campaigns, Armetta made his full comeback in 2022 as the team’s lead driver when The Club became a full-time contender in Europe’s biggest stock car racing division.
