Profile:

Fabrizio Armetta enjoyed plenty of success in EuroNASCAR over the course of three separate career phases. The journey began in 2013, when Armetta joined the championship after a successful stint in the Superstars Series.

Armetta was trusted by CAAL Racing to race their brand new EuroNASCAR machine at Le Mans. He answered CAAL’s trust by securing four top-10 finishes, ensuring that a seat will be open to him for the next season.

That year, Armetta established himself as one of the fastest amateur drivers in the top division. Armetta scored five top-10 finishes and took eight wins in the Challenger Trophy, easily securing the overall win in the process.

Armetta tried his luck at Double T Racing in 2015, but results were harder to come by. At the end of the season, he chose to leave the series to focus on building his own race team: Club Motorsport.

His time away did not diminish Armetta’s EuroNASCAR ambitions, however. Armetta returned to the series in 2017 as a team owner, bringing his team to international competition for the first time.

Armetta kept himself on the sidelines as team manager during this period. However, he did make several part-time appearances in 2017 and 2018.

2020 doesn’t seem to be a great year for Club, as the team had a great setback with the pandemic. However, Armetta had other thoughts and saw it as an opportunity to properly establish Club in the international scene instead.

To realize this vision, Armetta returned to the driving seat in 2021 to prepare for Club’s first full-season campaign in 2022. Thankfully for Armetta, the results from 2022 served as a justification to his vision.

Club showed promising speed, best demonstrated by Armetta’s seventh place finish at Brands Hatch. The flashes of speed continued in 2023, culminating in another overall Challenger Trophy victory and Armetta’s first podium finish in the season finale at Zolder.

2024 was poised to be a big year for the ever improving Armetta, but the season proved to be challenging. Five DNF’s and a disqualification prevented the Italian from showcasing his true potential.

Now at the age of 52 years old, Armetta is arguably at the fastest he’s ever been. With his passion for the sport and Club’s well-oiled package, the Italian has the potential to push his boundaries even further in the years to come.
