Cosimo Barberini began his career on Trofeo Abarth Selenia and quickly earned a reputation as one of the fastest drivers in the one-make championship. He was the series’ only three-time champion, winning all three of them consecutively from the 2016 to the 2018 seasons.
The speed that he showcased in Trofeo Abarth Selenia led him to make several campaigns in various TCR-based championships, including a fourth place standings finish in the 2019 TCR DSG Endurance season. Barberini also made several testing appearances with Lamborghini, Porsche, and EuroNASCAR in the years preceding his move to Europe’s premier stock car racing championship.
Barberini made his EuroNASCAR debut in 2022 as the lead driver of the No. 33 SpeedHouse Ford Mustang. He performed strongly on his debut year, regularly featuring in battles for the top-15 finishes and ultimately finished the year with the same amount of points as the newly crowned EuroNASCAR 2 champion Liam Hezemans in the overall standings.
