NASCAR Euro Series will host the first 2026 NASCAR Recruitment Test session on 5 December 2025 at Circuits de Vendée in Fontenay-le-Comte.
NASCAR Euro Series’ Recruitment Tests is set to make its return for the 2025-26 off-season. EuroNASCAR announced on 27 October that the 2026 edition of the Tests will begin on 5 December 2025 at its usual hosting ground of Circuits de Vendée in Fontenay-le-Comte.
It is set to be the tenth consecutive year of the Recruitment Tests, and the first under the “NASCAR Recruitment Test” banner.
“The NASCAR Euro Series is hosting its first NASCAR Recruitment Test (NRT) for the upcoming 2026 season on December 5th at the Circuits de Vendée in Fontenay-le-comte, France,” EuroNASCAR announced.
“This is the best way to test a NASCAR car prior to the 2026 season, which is set to begin on April 18 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain.”
“The NRT is the perfect way to test the 400 hp V8 EuroNASCAR car. Participants will experience pure racing with no electronic aids, no Balance of Performance, and equal cars where drivers and teams make the difference with skill and experience.”
Just like previous Recruitment Tests, there are three packages that are made available to interested participants:
- Discovery package: The basic package that includes two (2) on-track test sessions. Available for €1,250.
- Advanced package: The intermediate package, which includes five (5) on-track test sessions. Available for €2,950.
- Pro package: The full package in which a driver gets one (1) dedicated car for a full day of testing. Available for €4,500.
Interestingly, the listed price for the 2026 Recruitment Tests showcased that it’s cheaper in some areas and more expensive in others.
The 2025 Recruitment Tests have a cheaper price for the Discovery and Advanced packages at €950 and €2,950 respectively. However, the Pro package pricing for the 2025 edition was more expensive, as it was set at €5,900 last off-season.
Participants of the Recruitment Tests must also meet the following requirements:
- Present a good racing experience in car or karting.
- Eligible for the FIA International License.
- Capable of gathering a minimum of €50,000 for a full-season budget
- Have not previously competed in the NASCAR Euro Series
The 2025 edition of Recruitment Tests was one of the largest in EuroNASCAR history, with four tests held across the 2025-26 off-season. Originally announced to be held at Oschersleben, it was moved to Fontenay due to snow hazard and later expanded with an additional date at Fontenay and two visits to Italy.
Held at Cremona Circuit and Circuito Tazio Nuvolari respectively, it marked the first DRT tests held outside of France since the 2019 edition.
True to the program’s goal, the 2025 Recruitment Tests introduced plenty of newcomers to the EuroNASCAR stock cars.
Garrett Lowe, Bruno Mulders, Davit Kajaia and Sandro Tavartkiladze all took part in the 2025 Tests before they embarked in their debut campaigns.
All four enjoyed great success across both divisions. Lowe scored two EuroNASCAR PRO podium finishes and contested the title all the way to the Finals in Zolder.
Mulders won in EuroNASCAR OPEN at Oschersleben and finished third overall in the standings. He also took a surprise PRO podium in the Zolder finale, thereby making him the youngest top class podium finisher in history.
Kajaia and Tavartkiladze worked together with their Team Georgia outfit to surprise the paddock. Kajaia grabbed the overall Challenger Trophy honors at the last minute, while Tavartkiladze was fourth in the EuroNASCAR OPEN standings after one podium in Most and 12 top-10 finishes.
