Arianna Casoli expressed her gratitude after she completed her 100th start in EuroNASCAR 2 during the 2024 NASCAR GP Germany at Oschersleben.
History was made in the 2024 NASCAR GP Germany when Arianna Casoli participated in the EuroNASCAR 2 race on Saturday. The race marked Casoli’s 100th start in the division, making her the first female driver and first EN2 driver to achieve the 100 starts milestone.
The milestone had been long awaited by the Italian, who knew that the 100 starts mark would be reached when she agreed on a contract extension with SpeedHouse Racing for the 2024 season.
SpeedHouse celebrated the milestone by awarding Casoli with a special 100 starts decal on the pre-race build up. The decal was then placed on the front left corner of the No. 14 Les Demeures Créativ’ Ford Mustang that she drove in both races.
Casoli was full of emotions after she crossed the line, as seen on her post-race social media message where she thanked everyone that has supported the Italian’s long and successful career in EuroNASCAR.
“Valencia in 2016 was my first EuroNASCAR GP,” expressed Casoli on Saturday. “I had almost no experience, a lot of passion and a great desire to learn.”
“I challenged my limits in so many ways. Not only on the track, but also with a goal more personal than others: To understand myself, rebuild myself and prove to myself that I could do something that seemed impossible at that time.”
“In my ninth season, today I face my 50th qualification and the 100th GP in the afternoon. It all seems so strange to me because these years have passed literally in a hurry.”
“Among many ups and downs, successes, defeats and all kinds of emotions, I have to thank all of those who supported me, understood me and spurred me to not give up even when I would have had very good reasons to do it.”
“I also have to thank those who taught me, who guided me and helped me in difficult moments and rejoiced and celebrated with me on every success or achievement!”
“This is a sport that is not easy for a woman and it’s the only one in which there are no correctives, either by age or gender. I’m proud of myself for being able to reach this milestone.”
“Each season, each trip, each race are like summaries of everything that happens to us in life, a concentrate of action, emotions, encounters and whatever else you can think of that teaches you to choose which aspects of life are important and which should simply be handled or avoided.”
“There are aspects such as respect, determination, resilience, courage, dedication, passion, professionalism and heart that I have found in so many of the people who have accompanied me on this journey and I’m grateful to have them in my life. I do not list them but they know they have a special place in my heart! Thank you!”
